A US soldier suspected of killing civilians in Afghanistan has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.

Staff Sergeant Robert Bales is accused of killing 09 Afghan children and 08 adults in their homes in Kandahar province on the 11th of March.

Foreign media reported that he could face the death penalty if convicted.

The Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated yesterday that the Taliban had no faith in any trial of Sergeant Bales requested the Afghans to take revenge on all American forces in Afghanistan.
