The Wildlife Security Officials’ Union states that it is prepared to engage in trade union actions once again with effect from the 26th of March.
The Secretary of the Wildlife Security Officials’ Union S.P.G. Lionel stated that accordingly measures will be taken to hand over all their weapons to the Wildlife Headquarters.
As at present, several wildlife officials had been remanded in relation to the recent incident where an indigenous youth was shot dead.
The Wildlife officials have decided to engage in these trade union actions in objection to it.
Although our News Team tried to contact the Director General of Wildlife H.B. Ratnayake to inquire with this regard, our attempts were futile
