Prime Minister D M Jayaratna states that the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission recommendations will be implemented after reports from the intellectual committees are received.
The Premier added that President Mahinda Rajapakse has already put measures in place to implement the LLRC recommendations even before the outside world requested for it to be done.
He also said that intellectual committees have been appointed to look into three key components.
These components are which of the recommendations can be implemented, what is the good it will bring to Sri Lanka as a country and how does Sri Lanka coordinate with the international community.
The premier was speaking at a meeting held in Madampe yesterday.
