The Sri Lanka Freedom Party Central Working Committee will meet to discuss the resolution against Sri Lanka that was passed at the Geneva Human Rights Council.

General Secretary of the SLFP Maithreepala Sirisena stated that the meeting will be held today and discussions will be held on the next steps regarding the resolution.

The General Secretary added that discussion will also be held regarding the various allegations being levelled at Sri Lanka by the international community.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the government is hoping to hold a referendum to find out if the Geneva resolution should be adopted or not.

The decision regarding this will also be taken at the central committee meeting today.
