The UNP Working Committee has decided at its meeting held yesterday to submit the Sirikotha attack probe committee report to the party disciplinary committee.
The probe committee report says that three groups have been identified with regard to the attack.
The report has also pointed out that MPs Sajith Premadaasa and Karu Jayasuriya had neglected the opportunity they had for preventing the attack.
In addition the report says that Maitree Gunaratna, Shiraal Laktilaka, Lakshman Abeygunasekera and Laal Perera deployed their groups for the attack.
While the report has made several recommendations it says that serious disciplinary action should be taken against leaders responsible for the attack.
Similarly the report also says that the election of office-bearers that was the main cause for the attack should not be held annually.
In addition the Working Committee at its meeting yesterday had taken a decision with regard to the motion against Sri Lanka presented at the Geneva Human Rights Conference.
