The Chairman of the Bribery and Corruption Commission Former Supreme Court Judge Jagath Balapatabadi states that the number of complaints received by the Bribery and Corruption Commission has declined.

The Chairman of the Bribery and Corruption Commission pointed out that the reason for this is the awareness among the general public about the Bribery and Corruption Commission.

The number of complaints received by the Bribery and Corruption Commission has declined since last month.

Former Supreme Court Judge Jagath Balapatabadi pointed out that previously 20 to 25 complaints were received per day in relation to bribery and corruption while the current number of complaints received per day is between 4 and 5.

Most of the complaints were received against government officials.

The Chairman of the Bribery and Corruption Commission Former Supreme Court Judge Jagath Balapatabadi further pointed out that the complaints received were against policemen and divisional politicians.
