President Mahinda Rajapakse states that the attempts made by those who support the LTTE agenda have failed.
He added that trust and faith in Sri Lanka and the inflow of investment has not been hampered by those who have been making false statements.
The President was speaking at the opening ceremony of the “Expo 2012” exhibition in Colombo this morning.
Speaking at the occasion the president added that the fact that a large number of foreign representatives were participating at the exhibition confirmed their faith in Sri Lanka even further.
He added that Sri Lanka is currently enjoying hard won freedom and peace and that as a country was moving steadily forward towards lasting reconciliation.
Assuring that the Sri Lankan government was ready to take any steps required to bring lasting peace, the president also added that no one needs to tell them how to do that.
The president also noted that after defeating terrorism Sri Lanka is now gaining many victories on the economic front as well.
