President Mahinda Rajapaksa states that those who attempt to lecture about human rights to sri lanka, are those who have purely limited it to mere terminology it's self.
The president asserted that it should be really questioned as to who the true violators of human rights are - while also stating that those occupying glass homes should be mindful to not cast stones at others.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa states that only a full-fledged education System will aid the country in making it a knowledge hub.
The president's comments came today as he partook in an inauguration ceremony to declare open the newly constructed Applied Science & Social Science faculty complex’s at the university of Sabaragamuwa.
During the event the president pointed out that those receiving higher education should be well-equipped with knowledge as well as a sound state of mind.
The construction of these complexes at the University of Sabaragamuwa has been completed by the government at a cost of 665 million rupees.
During the occasion President Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that the University of Sabaragamuwa will be presented with an all inclusive sports complex as well as a sports ground.
The University of Sabaragamuwa spans across an area of around 200 acres.
In conclusion President Rajapaksa added, that Sri lanka's university system as a collective has advanced it's position in the world university rankings list, making it the responsibility of academic staff and students alike, - to further the systems rankings.
