Indigenous Community Leader to discuss with President

The Leader of the Indigenous Community Uruvarige Vannila Aththo states that he hopes to speak with the President prior to the New Year in relation to the issues which are faced by his community.

The Leader of the Indigenous Community stated that they come across many obstacles when hunting which is their profession.

Speaking further the Leader pointed out that this issue has reached its maximum level along with the recent death of an indigenous youth allegedly killed by a gunshot fired by wildlife officials.

Speaking to our News Team Vannila Aththo stated that this discussion with the President will be held in Colombo in order to take necessary measures to safeguard his community.
