An adjournment motion was tabled today in parliament regarding the resolution, which was ratified against Sri Lanka in Geneva.

JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanaike tabled the motion and UNP MP Lackshman Kiriella seconded it.

Speaking during the debate, senior Minister DEW Gunasekara stated that the Anglo-Saxon giants in the international arena have passed this resolution against Sri Lanka out of hatred as their attempts to deter Sri Lanka from defeating the  LTTE failed miserably.

JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanaike stated that the parliament should discuss the matter and the government’s stance in detail as the government representatives are making contradictory statements.
