Spokesperson of the Jana Aragala Party Waruna Rajapaksha states that
two top activist of the party Kumar Gunaratnam alias Kumar Mahatthaya & Dimuthu Atigala have gone missing since yesterday.
Taking part in a media briefing held in Colombo today, committee member of the jana aragala vyaparaya senadheera gunathilleke stated that these two individuals had been abducted while returning home from a special discussion held with party officials.
According to sources during this meeting it had been decided to nominate kumar gunaratnam as the party leader of the jana aragala vyaparaya

When contacted the police media spokesperson stated that these two individuals had not been taken into custody. However he noted that investigations in this regard have already commenced as per the instructions of the inspector general of police
