The government states that there is no accuracy in the rumours which are being spread that the prices of essential commodities will be increased following the New Year season.

Speaking to our News Team, the Acting Minister of Mass Media and Information Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena stated that the government does not intend to make an instant price increment.
