President mahinda rajapaksa notes that concurrent to the development taking place in the country, the need has arisen to spiritually develop the future generations of sri lanka.
The president notes that such development would only mean little if the future generations are undutiful, and do not care for the countries heritage.
The presidents comments came as he partook in a ceremony to declare open the newly constructed dhamma-hall at the Nakulugamuwa-waw-daththa rajamaha vihara this morning.
The president also stated that it was the duty of the clergy & political representatives alike, to instil these values in the County's future generation.
The president also reiterated that the country could not be broken asunder since it has been bonded in unison between all ethnicities.
During the occasion it was also stated that all ethnicities in sri lanka were living in harmony & that trust amongst them had been forged.
The president also made note regarding the country's development process saying that it would be taken forward in conjunction with all respective local government authorities.
As part of his visit the president also visited the sithul-pawwa raja maha vihara.
