Two buses owned by Parakum Samarakoon, who is incidentally the cousin of
Minster of Private Transport C.B. Rathnayeke, has been set ablaze last night by an unidentified group.
The inferno had completely destroyed one of the buses, while the other is said to have been partially damaged.
When inquired by our news team Parkum Samarakoon stated that one of the buses had been parked adjacent to his house, while the other had been parked some distance away from the Padiyapallala filling station.
Previously two buses owned by the wife of Saliya Dissanayeke, who is also the chairman of the Central Provincial Council and incidently a brother of Minister S.B. Dissanayeke had been set ablaze by an unidentified group.
However when contacted by our news team Parakum Samarakoon stated that suspicion regarding this incident had been cast upon him by Saliya Dissanayeke.
Our attempts to Contact the Chairman of the Central Provincial Council, Saliya Dissanayeke proved futile owing to his mobile phone being switched off.
However his Secretary speaking to our news team stated that incident may have been carried out by a third party who seeks to estrange the ties between Chairmen of the Central Provincial Council, Saliya Dissanayeke & Minister C.B. Rathnayaka.
