The Indian all-party parliamentary delegation arrived in Sri Lanka last night.
Our airport correspondent stated that the 15 member delegation arrived around 10:40 on Sri Lanka Airlines flight UL196 from New Delhi.
Officials from the Ministry of external Affairs and the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka were on hand to welcome the delegation.
Led by opposition leader Sushma Swaraj, the delegation also includes Prahlad Joshi and Rajya Sabha MP M Venkaiah Naidu.
The delegation will tour the North and East and inspect resettlement and rehabilitation going on there.
They will also meet with representatives of the Tamil National Alliance today.
