Indian delegation to meet President and Tamil party representatives today

The 15 member Indian Parliamentary delegation currently on a 6 day tour of Sri Lanka is due to meet President Mahinda Rajapakse and representatives of the Tamil National Alliance this evening.

Former Leader of the Democratic People’s Front Mano Ganeshan stated that representatives from the Ceylon Worker’s Congress, Upcountry People’s Front, Citizen’s Front and the All Island Lanka Democratic Front will meet the Indian delegation as well.

Former Parliamentarian Mano Ganeshan explained the agenda for the discussions.



The main focus of the Indian delegation will be the rehabilitation and resettlement activities going on in the North and East.

They will also inspect the reconstruction activities of the Kankasanthurai harbour.

The Presidential Media Unit stated that the delegation will also meet leaders of the Muslim Congress, Worker’s Congress and Tamil National Alliance on the 20th of this month.
