The Indian Parliamentary Delegation which is touring in Sri Lanka met many local representatives today.

The Indian delegation which arrived at the Parliamentary Complex was welcomed by the Sri Lankan Parliamentary representative group led by Chief Government Whip of the Sri Lankan Parliament Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva and Deputy Speaker of the House Chandima Weerakkody.

The Chief Opposition Whip Parliamentarian John Amarathunga, Deputy Leader of the United National Party Parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa and Leader of the Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian R. Sambandhan too participated representing the Sri Lankan Parliamentary representative group.

The Deputy Speaker of the House Chandima Weerakkody expressed views to our News Team, with regard to the discussion held with the Indian delegation.

The Chief Opposition Whip John Amarathunga too expressed views to our News Team with regard to the discussion which was held with the Indian delegation.

Visiting Indian delegation led by Leader of the Opposition MP Shrimathi Sushma Swaraj met Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development today at the Minister of Economic Development.

Head of the delegation Sushma Swaraj stated that they respect the integrity of Sri Lanka and wish for more stronger ties between two countries.
