The Panadura Magistrate’s Court denied a request made by the police in connection with carrying out the final rights of the man who died while in custody of the Wadduwa Police today.

The ASP of the Panadura Police had requested the court to grant a special court order to prevent people attending the funeral this evening from behaving in an unruly manner.

However, Panadura Magistrate R S A Dissanayake denied this request and asked the deceased man’s son and family members not to take the law into their hands.
