Conflicts within the Frontline Socialist Party

Internal sources of the recently established Frontline Socialist Party state that a division has erupted within the party.

It is reported that as at present, this conflict exists between a group led by Dimuthu Bandara Abeykoon and a group led by Senadheera Gunathilake alias Opatha Mahaththaya.

The group led by Dimuthu Bandara Abeykoon alleged that the other group too is following the path of the JVP.

They alleged that the new party too is acting as a traditional leftist party.

Accordingly, it is reported that a situation has been created where this group which is led by Dimuthu Bandara Abeykoon and Waruna Rajapakse will withdraw from the Frontline Socialist Party in the future.

However, as at present Kelum Amarasinghe, a member of the Frontline Socialist Party has resigned from the Central Working Committee of the Jana Aragala Movement.

Political sources confirmed that he is currently engaging in an internal conversation with the Frontline Socialist Party.

When our News Team inquired the Propaganda Secretary of the Frontline Socialist Party Pubudu Jayagoda with this regard, he stated that a conflict exists with regard to the lives of Marxists within the party.
