The residents of T-20 Watta area in Borella engaged in a protest yesterday in a manner which obstructed the Baseline Road near the Railway Ground in Dematagoda.

The police also fired tear gas to disperse the protesters.

The residents engaged in this protest in objection to a search operation which was carried out by the Police Special Task Force and the Narcotics Bureau last morning.

This resulted in a traffic congestion in the Baseline Road.
