The 6 Sri Lankan fishermen who had been rescued by the Spanish Navel personal while being held under clutches of Somali pirates have arrived at their respective homes in the island.

However one fisherman expressed views concerning the comments made by the fisheries minister regarding the media coverage that was provided surrounding their capture.
However arriving in their mother land after nearly 6 months subsequent to their capture, the relatives of these fishermen were not permitted entry into the Katunayeke airport.
In further developments only several state run media organisations were allowed to out carry press coverage on their arrival.
When inquired by our news team the duty officer of the Katunayeke airport stated that this course of action was adhered to, as per the instructions issued by the ministry of fisheries.
