The leader of the opposition has called for a report on all United National Party members who did not attend the May Day Rally held in Jaffna or failed to fulfil duties allocated to them.
A senior spokesperson of the party indicated that the request for the report was sent to the General Secretary of the party.
Accordingly General Secretary MP Tissa Attanayaka will submit his report at the next working committee meeting.
The senior spokesperson added that all members were allocated specific tasks and several had not lived up to them.
Meanwhile, UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe has also decided to felicitate party members who joined the May Day Rally in Jaffna and carried out their duties admirably.
