A fierce blaze swept through a karaoke lounge in the South Korean city of Busan killing nine people and injuring 20.
The fire broke out last night in one of the establishment's 28 rooms.
The dead included two women and three Sri Lankan workers who were holding a company party with Korean colleagues.
The 20 injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
Over 100 fire-fighters were called in to douse the flames.
It was not immediately clear what started the fire and an investigation was under way.
We spoke to the Ministry of External Affairs to find out additional details regarding this incident.
A spokesperson for the Ministry stated that the Sri Lankan Ambassador in South Korea is due to visit the site of the fire this evening and ascertain the situation.
