The All Island Health Services Union alleges that faulty patient monitoring equipment at the Jayewardenepura Hospital has hampered the day to day activities.
Chairman of the Union Gamini Kumarasinghe stated to our news team that the X-Ray Machine, scanning machines and several essential equipment and devices have been faulty since last week.
Accordingly, the Union claims that this is due to the negligence of the Hospital’s Management.
We spoke to Chairman of the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital Nimal Bandarage regarding these allegations.
He stated that such occurrences were due to technical defects in the machinery.
He also added that the machinery will be restored to normalcy within the next couple of days.
