Court lifts ban on Supplementary Medical Staff protests

The court has decided to lift the ban on Supplementary Medical Services staff engaging in continuous trade union action.

The court also decided to nullify a request made by health authorities for an interim injunction order.

According to General Secretary of the Joint Supplementary Medical Services Trade Unions Alliance Saman Jayasekara they will hold discussions on Friday regarding future trade union action.
