The Supreme Court delayed the verdict in the petition filed against malpractices that were carried out during calculating the Z-Score after the last A/L examination.
The petition filed by the Lanka Teacher’s Association and several students who sat for the exam was taken up yesterday in front of a three-bench panel headed by Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayke.
The petitioners allege that the Z-Score calculation has several errors in it and requested for recalculation.
Lawyers appearing on behalf of the University Grants Commission and the Examinations Commissioner stated their case yesterday.
The three-bench panel ordered for written statements to be submitted before the 28th of this month.
The Chief Justice stated that the verdict would be given before the 30th of June.
