The Health Minister made a classic explanation on how politicians are affected by non-communicable diseases.

Speaking at a ceremony held in Kandy today, Minister of Health Maithreepala Sirisena revealed that many sweet meats and fatty foods are served at functions attended by politicians.

The Minister added that most politicians consume these treats since they can not disappoint their voters.

He also added that due to this it has become impossible for politicians to safeguard themselves from non-communicable diseases.
