The case filed against Sarath Fonseka based on charges of harbouring 10 army deserters and inciting the breech of state allegiance was taken up at the Colombo High courts today.
Prison officials had notified courts via a letter that Sarath Fonseka was unable to attend today's court session since he was physically unfit.
Prison officials had informed High Court Judge Sunil Rajapaksa in this regard stating that specialist Dr. Vajira Tennakoon had informed them regarding the ailing condition of Fonseka.
Hence the facts which were due to be taken up in courts today were procrastinated until the 7th of June.
Currently the leader of the DNA Sarath Fonseka is receiving treatment at the Nawaloka Hospital in Colombo.
