The United National Party stated that they strongly oppose the circular released by the government regarding the transfer of students from one national school to another in order to pursue advanced level classes.
Addressing a press conference held in Colombo today UNP Parliamentarian P. Harrison went onto say that the circular that the government introduced recently has resulted in various difficulties faced by many students.
According to this circular if a student looks forward to pursue a particular subject stream and if that stream is unavailable in the school that he presently belongs to he will be inconvenienced as the circular forbids a transfer in concern to such situations.
