The port customs have recovered a stash of over 400 tusks being transported from Kenya to Dubai via Sri Lanka.

The value of the ivory has been estimated at 36 million rupees.

The recovery was made while attempting to transfer the container carrying the tusks from one ship to another.

The container is said to be the property of a private company.
