Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella who sustained injuries during an accident in Australia arrived in the island this morning.
Subsequent to his arrival, a media briefing was convened at his official residence.
Here journalists inquired from minister Rambukwella reasons for his accident.
In response the minister noted that he was unable to comment on the nature of the accident.
Moreover, journalists also queried minister Rambukwella regarding the recent statement of Sarath Fonseka in which says that permission should be granted for an international investigation regarding alleged war crimes.
Minister Rambukwella noted, that Fonseka had no democratic right to make such a statement.
Meanwhile another question was raised by a journalist concerning Sarath Fonseka's statement, on reducing the North's military presence. The minister had this to say.
In a related development, Minister Rambukwella is attempting on perusing legal action against the hotel at which he was lodging.
Accordingly advice has been sort from an Australian legal firm in this regard.
