The executive committee meeting of the International Democratic Union
commenced in New Zealand's Wellington city yesterday. It was chaired
by former Australian Prime Minister John Howard.
Reports say that discussion are scheduled to be held at the meeting
with regard to democratic activities in Sri Lanka, North Korea,
Belarus and Russia.
At this meeting Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who is IDU
Vice Chairman will also present a report about Democratic Activities
in Sri Lanka.
The Meeting is scheduled to end tomorrow and the final report with
regard to the Democratic activities of the countries on which
attention is focused, is due to be presented at the meeting.
In addition to this meeting, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is
getting ready to hold a bilateral discussion with former Australian
Prime Minister John Howard and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
