Leader of the Tamil Arusu party R. Sambandan states that no proposal was put forward for the creation of a separate state at the party summit.

Political and media institutions had reported that during the 14th party summit of the Tamil Arusu party held at Batticaloa on the 27th that a proposal for a separate state was brought forward.

Party leader R. Sambandan made this statement while speaking to our news team.

Meanwhile The Patriotic National movement states that the statement made by the TNA that they have given up the concept of a separate state is a false one.

He further stated the following, with regards to the statement by the British High Commissioner on removing army camps from the North.
