Demands made to drive out British High commissioner in Colombo

The National Freedom front has requested of the government to banish the British High Commissioner in Colombo.

NFF Polit Bureau member & former Parliamentarian Piyasiri Wijenayeke speaking during a media briefing which was held today stated that it was only the government of Sri Lanka which held the prerogative to decide on the assignment of military camps island wide.

Recently comments were made by British High commissioner John Rankin in which he said that Military Camps in the countries north should be withdrawn.

These were the views expressed by Former MP Piyasiri Wijenayeke in this regard.

Meanwhile the former MP also reiterated calls on the government to host a referendum prior to the enactment of proposals which were concurred upon during the recently held Geneva Human Rights Council Sessions.
