Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is on an official tour in Thailand met Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinwatra at the Thai Prime Minister's office this morning.

The two leaders held discussions on enhancing bilateral relations, especially in trade and investment, between the two countries, as well as on regional and multilateral issues.

Following the meeting, two bilateral agreements have also been signed.

External Affairs Ministry of Sri Lanka and the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral political consultations and an agreement regarding exchanging of documentation on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
