The JVP today issued a challenge to Ministers Wimal Weerawansa & Champika Ranawaka requesting of them to reveal the contents of the letter which had been handed over to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by Sri Lankan Minister of External Affairs Professor G.L. Peiris.
This challenge was issued by former JVP parliamentarian K.D. Lal Kantha during a meeting convened in Colombo by the Lanka Teacher Services Union today.
Meanwhile a statement made by DNA leader Sarath Fonseka also came under the scrutiny of former Parliamentarian Lal Kantha.
In his statement Sarath Fonseka had stated that he was willing to provide facts in the face of an international investigation being launched in Sri Lanka concerning acts of alleged war crimes.
Slating on Sarath Fonseka's statement K.D. Lal Kantha pointed out that Sarath Fonseka was abroad during the final stages of the war.
