The United National party states that the joint opposition will be ready for any election after the independent commissions are established.

UNP MP Dr.Jayalath Jayewardene was speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo today.

Leader of the New Sama Samaja Party Dr.Wickremabahu Karunarathne was also present at the media briefing organized by the joint opposition.

He posed a question to the leaders of trade unions at this time.
