The National Institute of Education, will provide Korean language training to schoool teachers in government schools as the objecctive of introducing the Korean language into the school curriculum.

According to Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena, the Korean Ambassador in Sri Lanka, has agreed to provide Korean teachers for this teacher training programme.

He said that Korean government provides a large number of job opportunities for Sri Lankans.

Nearly 50,000 candidates sat for the Korean language last year.
