The Bangladesh Premier League governing council said that the outstanding amounts due to the league's foreign players will be paid shortly.
BPL secretary Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir said that they had received a letter from the franchises, which said that within the next two days the $235,000 in unpaid wages will be settled.
A Bangladesh board press release from later in the day also made an assurance, saying that the "BCB, as the guarantor, will complete the payment of the dues shortly".
While the BPL is trying to keep the international players happy, several local players are as yet unpaid.
