The University Teachers Federation has ruled out any changes to its proposed strike action due to commence on the 04th of July.

Convenor of the University Teachers Federation Venarable Dambara Amila Thero addressing a media briefing in Colombo today noted that only education could pave the way for making Sri Lanka the wonder of Asia.

Moreover the Non Academic Staff of the Rajarata University made please to the gods regarding their grievances this morning adjacent to the 'Katuseya' in Mihinthale.

The strike action launched by the University Non Academic Staff Federation is currently at its 8th day.

Meanwhile, a press conference was convened by the Inter-University Trade Unions Alliance in Colombo today.

The Media Spokesperson of the Alliance Wijethilaka Jayasinghe speaking at the press conference went onto state that if the issues of the non-academic staff is not taken into account by the University Grants Commission they will refrain from attending to essential services within the university aswell.
