3 Sambers who had been in exhibit at the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens had fled the place of their captivity last night.

This species of Samber's which are commonly known as the 'Greater Kudu' are a herbivorous group who have made the jungles of Africa their habitat.

According to Director General of the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens Bhashwara Senanka Gunarathna the beasts had managed to flee their captors when they were being led to their cages subsequent to the days public display.
