The 5th and final ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan got under way today at the R Premadasa stadium.

 

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

 

Sri Lanka has to win this match in order to win the series.

 

Sri Lanka has clinched two victories, and Pakistan has won one, while another match was abandoned due to rain.

 

Pakistan however is given an option to draw the series, by winning this match.

 

Pakistan openers got off to a solid start but Thisara Perera and Nuwan Kulasekara dismissed Imran Farhat for 56 and Mohammed Hafeez for 6 runs.

 

Umar Akmal also scored a fine half century and Pakistan scored 247 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

 

Jeevan Mendis and Nuwan Kulasekara picked up 2 wickets each.
