Restriction placed on fishing at Trincomalee outer harbour relaxed

The restrictions that were imposed on fishermen who carry out fishing activities in the Trincomalee outer Harbour region has been relaxed as of today.

Accordingly, the conditions imposed on obtaining a permit to carry-out fishing activities will also be lifted.

The Order pertaining to this was issued by the Eastern Province Governor Rear Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama.

Speaking to our news team regarding this matter, Navy Media Spokesperson Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya stated that all fishing restrictions have been lifted in the Trincomalee outer Harbour region.
