An indigenous medicine clinic dedicated to the health of the indigenous community was opened in Dambana yesterday.

The leader of the Indigenous People Uruwarige Wannila Eththo had requested the government to provide a clinic for them previously.

Speaking on the occasion the leader noted that it is only the Ministry of Agrarian Services and the Ministry of Indigenous Medicine that truly serves the people.

Minister of Indigenous Medicine Salinda Dissanayaka stated on the occasion that the clinic was opened in view of protecting the health of Sri Lanka’s indigenous community.
