The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association states that the review report requesting for bus fare revisions has been handed over to the National Transport Commission.
These were the views expressed by Chairman of the LPBOA Gamunu Wijerathna.
When inquired by the president of the All Island Bus Operators' Association Stanley Fernando, he stated that the Associations attention has been shifted towards revising bus fares concurrent to the rise in diesel prices.
However Chairman of the National Transport Commission Roshan Gunawardhana states that a revision to bus fares will only be done if it is deemed necessary.
He further stated that such revisions would not be done based on the requirements of bus associations.
