The Human Rights Commission says Sri Lanka is gearing up to face the United Nations Human Rights Review.

Several countries including Sri Lanka will come under review in the United Nations Universal Periodic Review of the human rights records of all 192 UN Member States.

The review will be held in October and November during the UN Human Rights Council sessions.

Human Rights Commissioner Dr.Prathibha Mahanamahewa speaking to our news team noted that the Human Rights Commission is currently working on several recommendations.

Speaking further Dr.Mahanamahewa had this to say.
