Estate sector to stage strikes

All estate trade unions are due to stage joint trade union action to demand for the rights of the estate sector.

 

The All Island Estate Worker’s Association stated that their demands include providing estate workers with a monthly salary and living allowance.

 

Secretary of the association J M S Premaratne stated that they are currently holding discussions with other trade unions as well.
