Views were expressed at 2 different media briefings which were convened by the UNP & JVP today, concerning yesterday's Supreme Court ruling with regards to last years Z score values.
Addressing the media briefing convened by the UNP party General Secretary Thissa Aththanayeke noted that all parties who were instrumental in formulating the new Z score values should resign from their respective posts.
Speaking further Aththanayeke stated that the Ministers of Education as well as The UGC'S Chairman & the Examination Commissioner should all relinquish their respective posts.
Moreover Polit Bureau Member of the Front Line Socialist Party Duminda Nagamuwa also expressed views in this regard.
Meanwhile Chief Secretary of the Lanka Teacher Services Union Joseph Stallin
stated that it was highly doubtful if the government was deliberately cogitating on
sabotaging the country's free education system.
However expressing his comments during a function held at the Ananda College in Alpitiya, Galle today, Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardhana stated that even the supreme court concedes the results issued by the Department of
