However Chairman of the UGC Professor Gamini Samaranayeke addressing a media briefing held at the Ministry of Higher Education stated that the Supreme Court had set specific guidelines on calculating the Z score.
Professor Samaranayeke noted that it should be clarified as to whether the Ministry of Higher Education or the UGC should carryout the calculations.
