A media briefing was held in Colombo today concerning the discovery of

the first ever complete human skeleton in South East Asia which was incidentally recovered from the Pahiyan Cave in Rathnapura.

Commissioner General of Archaeology Senarath Dissanayeke addressing the media briefing noted that it was sagacious to leave a discovery of this magnitude in its native location.

Deputy Commissioner General of Archaeology Dr. Nimal Perera who was also present during the media briefing noted that an open invitation has been extended to foreign scholars to study the remains of this pre-historic humanoid.
